Individual Therapy

Let’s get unstuck.

A singular event may come to mind as the source of our pain. However, it is common that a series of things—probably even before we were born—formed a constellation of how we experience the world. This might include specific experiences in our families, to the greater time or culture, that imprinted our formative years.

Because of this, there lies a huge continuum in how we might suffer.  There may be the unable-to-cope, severely somber affliction. Then there are those who behind an accomplished exterior, embody a real sense of emptiness that no one would ever guess anything was simply less than fine.  The individuals I treat often identify these as Depression, Anxiety, Perfectionism, and Burnout. Wherever you are within that continuum of distress, psychotherapy can help you to simply not only feel better but gradually feel alive again.

In one-on-one therapy, I will tailor our sessions to:

  • Put words to feelings that have been murky for as long as you can remember

  • Find ways to better tolerate and experience your emotions

  • Build capacity to separate what is yours and others’

  • Tap into your potential to feel more dimensional and dynamic

  • Identify and rework unhelpful patterns
